GPS Tracking System Leads to Vehicle Recovery

Auto theft can impact a business in many ways.   While insurance will cover the cost of the loss of the physical equipment, down time and impacts to every day business are hard to recover.   Equipment shortages impact your ability to respond to customers in a timely manner. In today's business world, being responsive wins customers.  Explaining to customers that you can fulfill their needs because a car, truck or equipment has been stolen does not evoke confidence.

GPS tracking can be added value to minimizing loss and in some cases stop the theft while it is happening.  Recently, this was just the case with a South Florida tow truck company.  Not one, but two tow trucks were driven off the company lot.  Fortunately, for the owner, the trucks were equipped with GPS tracking and the theft was detected as it was happening. 

Tracker Systems offers multiple alerts that can combat auto theft.  Upon activation, any of the alerts can be configured to send an email to one or more email addresses.  History reports can also be used to gather detailed information. 

Unauthorized use allows you to specify hours or days where the vehicle cannot move.  Alert status is triggered when movement occurs.  If vehicles are sent home with employees, the unauthorized use alert might be activated for the weekend hours.

Our tow guard alert works by detecting movement of the vehicle without ignition.  This is handy for alerting in a number of situations, including auto theft.

With our gps tracking system areas where entry is permitted or not permitted can be configured as alerts.  For example, if your fleet always stays in one county or a couple of counties, the perimeter can specified as a geofence and alerts configured when any of your cars or trucks leave the region. 

Finally, if a vehicle is stolen, the tracking system can be used to detect where the vehicle has gone since it left your premises, often leading to a quick recovery.
