Entering Third Year of Rising Fuel Costs
“I almost burst a blood vessel the first time I ran the 'Excessive Idling Report' on my Tracker System”.
"I couldn't believe how much better some employees are at conserving fuel than others - the 'Distance and Fuel Economy' report pays for the whole system each month".
Fleet Vehicle Tracking is an essential tool for today's operations managers and owners. GPS tracking devices are economical and the return on investment - especially in a time of rising fuel costs - is rapid.
In 2011, Gas and Diesel set price records and they are expected to go higher in 2012. Rapid growth in personal transportation in China, India and the rest of the developing world plus concerns about problems in production and transportation in the Middle East have been pushing oil prices ever higher. Increased production in North America helps with balance of trade issues but demand in other parts of the world influences prices globally.
When fuel prices go up, it puts pressure on businesses because everything they buy - not just fuel - goes up as well because of transportation costs and production costs. And yet it's hard to raise prices to your customers in a sluggish economy where the end consumer just decides to do without instead of paying more.
